Artist's Bio

Erica Zap graduated from S.U.N.Y. New Paltz with a BFA in gold and silversmithing. She began designing & producing her own line of jewelry and selling nationally under the name "Erica Zap Designs". In 1990 she relocated her business to Newport, Rhode Island where she sells both nationally and internationally to Galleries, Boutiques, Museum Shops, and Catalouges. The jewelry reflects the integration of past and present cultures.  Erica's goal is to design a contemporary look which exposes beauty through the simplicity of form.. She uses metals, pearls, stones, textures, shapes and color to create precious pieces that are as individual as the women who wear them.
